Weekly Trends & Innovative Insights for Convenience Store Owners.

When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Five years old, huh? That feels like a lifetime ago! Honestly, I don’t think I was doing much future planning at that age. My world was pretty much split between half-day kindergarten and hanging out with my family. My mom was a stay-at-home mom, so we were always together, which was awesome. Mostly, I just played with my friends and lived in the moment.

But, you know, there was this one thing… I started liking the Miami Dolphins for some reason. I grew up near Chicago, so everyone was a Bears fan, but I was all about the Dolphins. I remember actually praying at church that my hands would get bigger so I could catch a football better. Looking back, I guess maybe I secretly wanted to be a wide receiver for the Dolphins? Haha, imagine that! A little kid from Indiana dreaming of sunny Miami and touchdowns. It’s funny how those random childhood fascinations stick with you.
