Weekly Trends & Innovative Insights for Convenience Store Owners.

What makes you laugh?

As I sit here with a furry friend headbutting my elbow for attention, I’m reminded of the pure joy that comes with sharing your life with cats. Do you have a cat? If so, you probably know that feeling of delight that comes from watching them be, well, cats.

I have two rescue cats who bring a constant stream of amusement to my life. There’s Moo, my eldest daughter’s rescue cat. He’s a dignified tuxedo cat with a touch of extra fluff around the middle (let’s just say he enjoys a good meal). Then there’s Oscar, a mischievous Bengal mix who wormed his way into our hearts (and home!) during our morning walks.

These two couldn’t be more different. Moo is the epitome of feline grace – a bit aloof, always impeccably groomed, and a master of the gentle head bump. Oscar, on the other hand, is a whirlwind of energy and affection. He’s a true attention hog, constantly demanding pets and playtime.

Their interactions are pure comedy. One minute they’re grooming each other, a picture of peaceful coexistence. The next, they’re engaged in a high-speed chase across the living room, a blur of fur and claws.

And let’s not forget their individual quirks. Moo has this adorable habit of “making biscuits” on my lap, kneading the air with his paws as if he’s baking a loaf of bread. Oscar, meanwhile, has a penchant for batting at anything that moves, including my feet, hands, and even his brother.

They can be frustrating at times, constantly underfoot and demanding attention. As I type this, Oscar is literally headbutting my elbow for a pet, while Moo has a paw draped over the keyboard, inspecting my every word with a critical eye.

But their affection and personalities more than compensate for any mischief. Their playful antics, their silly expressions, and their unwavering companionship bring a smile to my face every single day. I couldn’t imagine my life without their furry presence.

Thanks to them, there’s never a dull moment in our house. They’re the reason my home is filled with laughter (and fur!) every single day.
